Why Apple Reminders gets ignored

An Apple Reminders alert is a notification, which works fine right up until you dismiss it, and then it's gone for good. RemindLock leaves the reminder in Apple Reminders exactly as it is and adds a lock on top that you actually have to deal with.

How the sync works

• It's read-only: RemindLock reads incomplete Apple reminders that have a due date, from the lists you pick, and never creates, edits, completes or deletes anything in Apple Reminders.
• Synced reminders lock your apps like reminders made in RemindLock.
• Edits to a reminder's title or due date in Apple Reminders show up in RemindLock on the next refresh (when you open the app, or in a background refresh).
• Completing one in Apple Reminders clears its lock on the next refresh.
• "Move" copies a reminder into RemindLock and stops syncing it; the Apple copy is left untouched.
• You can stop syncing anytime.

What happens when one is due

The apps you picked stay locked until you do one of these:

• Done: type "I did" plus the reminder's title, or take a photo if the reminder is set to photo.
• Reschedule: pick a new time at least 15 minutes out and type a reason, up to twice per reminder.
• Drop it.

There's also one 15-minute emergency unlock per day, in the app, after which the locks come back. Strict mode is optional and off by default. Phone, Messages and the apps you mark as always allowed are never locked.

Fair limits

• iPhone only.
• Reminders without a due date, or already completed, aren't synced.
