RemindLock FAQ
Updated
RemindLock is an iPhone-only reminder app that uses Apple’s Screen Time permission to lock the apps you pick until you deal with a due reminder.
Can I cheat?
Yes, on purpose: you can always drop a reminder or use the once-a-day emergency unlock. Optional strict mode stops you deleting RemindLock or changing its lock settings while a lock is active. It’s built to add a little friction, not to be a prison. How drops, strict mode and the emergency unlock work
What if I can’t do it right now?
You can reschedule it to a new time with a short reason, up to twice per reminder. How rescheduling works
Does it need Screen Time?
Yes. RemindLock uses Apple’s Screen Time permission for individuals, not parental controls, and it can’t lock anything without it. Why it needs Screen Time
Can it block Phone or Messages?
No. Phone, Messages and your always-allowed apps are never locked. What’s never locked
Is it iPhone only?
Yes, it’s iPhone only. There’s no Android or Apple Watch version in the first release.
Does it work with Apple Reminders?
Yes, read-only: it brings in reminders from the Apple Reminders lists you pick and never creates, edits, completes or deletes anything there. How Apple Reminders sync works
What data do you collect?
Your reminders, reasons and photos never leave your iPhone, and there are no accounts. The app sends anonymous usage counts (which features get used, never what you wrote or which apps you lock), and you can turn them off in Settings.
